Cure under pressure. Re-establish the seal.
Time Activated Sealant is a two-part liquid system activated through crosslinking during polymerisation. The curing window allows the material to form a solidified sealing body under pressure and block the leak path.
How it works
TAS is mixed and placed so that polymerisation proceeds under pressure. Solidified TAS tends to fill the affected area, self-level, and form an energised seal as it cures. It is selected where a curing seal is required rather than a purely pressure-activated liquid seal.
Where it is applied
- Wellhead / conductor leaks
- Gate valves
- Hanger and pack-off seals
- Production packers
- Tubing / casing connection leaks
- SCP micro-annular channelling
